Amado Peña is recognized as an Artisan of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona. Through more than 30 years as a professional artist Amado's artwork has been a staple of the southwest and western art world. His work is largely inspired by places such as Canyon de Chelly, Spider Rock, Monument Valley, Enchanted Mesa, Acoma, and Black Mesa. His work is defined by its bold color and form and dynamic composition.
To capture the bold nature and allure of the artist’s designs and colors Montana Boots USA utilized leather overlay and inlay styles, as well as a relatively new leather embroidery method. Some boot styles in the collection feature over a quarter of a million stitches to reflect Amado’s rich designs in cowboy boot form. “We are honored to have the world famous Native American artist and our good friend Amado Peña design this new line of cowboy boots,” said Dusty Henson, owner and founder of El Paso Saddleblanket Company and Montana Boots USA. “Amado’s designs and our factory’s 71 years of boot making experience turned out to be a great fit to create this amazing collection of cowboy boots that will wholesale and retail at a faction of the cost of most all the custom or “fancy” cowboy boots on the market today.”
